I wanted to love this place. I tried to love this place. The beach, amazing location the staff the majority of them amazing the entertaining staff really nice the trapeze guy Khalil super sweet Rosie was a whole vibe, but upon arrival, it was quick to notice the place was very rundown. The people with black bracelets compared to the blue bracelets were treated completely different. They advertise beach beds on the beach, but in reality, therefore the people who have timeshare the other people get stuck down at the other end of the beach, which is fine. The beach is beautiful the food less to be desired. Sometimes it was all we could do just to swallow the bite many times we went in town just to get a decent meal one time we were at a restaurant there were bugs. Upon arrival. We heard a woman complaining about roaches in her room. I tried to wipe it out of my mind because again the location was beautiful, which is really all we were there for, but I didn’t pay thousands of dollars to sleep amongst the bugs until one night we sat down one night at the Mexican restaurant and looked at the floor and there they were roaches. looked in the lobby there they were in buffet running behind coffee machine , needs a lot of work and they need to take better care of the people who have been taking care of them maybe a little better the patrons and the staff ! would I go back to the town yes to the resort not so sure ?

The cleaning staff were very courteous.

I should have known my experience would be bad, when it took 2.5 hours to get my food from the restaurant at the resort. The facilities were outdated and many of the appliances were rusted. The weight room was small with equipment not maintained. One treadmill had a broken screen and the other had a loose belt. Requests were treated as an inconvenience. It took hours to get towels replaced. I did not have WiFi in my room my entire stay. The first day I notified staff, I was told “all rooms have WiFi, so I must have WiFi”. I came back the next day and was told that IT was not in on the weekend and to come back on Monday. I came back on Monday and was told, they would let IT know I needed assistance. That assistance never came. Air conditioning in my room was not controllable. The temperature never changed. Our toilet would not flush properly. Overall, it was the worst experience on any trip i have ever been on. There were a few nice people, like Jones, but most others could care less.
